Why does food spoil? Explore our feature exhibit, "A Taste of Science", to find out! Learn about the natural process of decay, the microscopic enemies that speed it up, and preservation techniques that extend the shelf-life of food. Demonstrations will take place at 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. Meet four different germs and decide whether they are heroes or villains. Sort various types of packaging into groups based on how they work to preserve food. Observe how decomposers break down food. Get crafty and make exhibit-themed masterpieces to take home.  Regular museum admission rates apply.
